Reclaim Your Time Part 1




You do know that just because it’s January that you don’t have to go headfirst into the New Year, right?


This weekend January 6-8, there is a full moon in Cancer.

There are many ways to reclaim your time.

I am a firm believer in slow living. Slow living is a lifestyle that encourages a slower approach to aspects of everyday life, involving completing tasks at a leisurely pace.


The first full moon of the year is here, and this moon is in Cancer. This moon couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. It falls in the nurturing sign of cancer and since it’s winter, this moon will also push you to feel safe, comfortable, and well-nourished.


As I stated last week, the rhythm of winter is for rest, reflection and preparation. This is the perfect time to hibernate, eat, snuggle in and get cozy. Everything that makes you feel safe and grounded.


This is the time to vision and make plans for the coming year, not execute.


Fight the urge to be all, and do all. Just like nature, hibernation is essential to life. We are not designed to go full out 365 days of the year. One of my seven rituals for self-healing is “writing the vision”, which is writing down your intentions, thoughts, AND most importantly, action steps. In due season, you will see it all come to pass.


Make time for Ritual #1: Be Still. Be still, even when the outside world pushes for the opposite.
